Roasted Turkey Cobb from BJ's. I'm always down for some fresh avocado and crispy fries but this was so so so tasty and the perfect amount of food. Aaaand it was on a date so it cost me zero dollars which made it taste even better.
Music
"Warrior" by Mark Foster, A Trak & Kimbra.
Okay you know how sometimes you don't like a song and then you hear it again in the right circumstances? Story of this song in my life. It is a teensy annoying but the more and more I listen to it I like it. Picture lounging on a boat with all your besties riding around Lake Grapevine with this song blasting. See? Don't you like it now?
Activity
Wow. A private room for karaoke for a reasonable price of $20 an hour?? In Korea Town in Dallas? Ohhhh has all the elements for a fab night out. If it wasn't on Harry Hines and if any of the employees spoke English I'd totally go by myself and sing Independent Woman for hours and hours.
I had no idea I was so incredibly whiny when under stress! Hahah oh this video is so candid, so real though.
I was house sitting for a fam who shall remain anonymous to protect their identity but let me just say: it was not a walk in the park. One of the days I found a rat (or actually in retrospect it might have been a bunny rabbit) in the skimmer basket.
Ugh I severely loathe rats. I think part of that is rooted in the book 1984 when in the end (spoiler alert) he is tortured by rats.
Anyways. It was one of those times where I realized that if I didn't do it, no one else would. UGH I feel sick when I even think about it. Anyways I was literally praying to my Father above for strength. Legitimately on my list of top five hardest things I've ever done. Also on that list is when I accidentally left a bottle of chocolate milk in my fridge over Christmas break and I came back to see that it had exploded, and then molded ALL FREAKING OVER the entire inside of the fridge. Yes I did throw up but then I got over it and cleaned it and haven't had chocolate milk since. Yikes sorry friendly readers if that just grossed you out to the point where you're never coming back to this blog again.
But perhaps if you're that fickle/weak stomached I don't want you reading my blog anyways. Oh ho ho.
Nike Denim Tempos. First of all, you need to know that I am obsessed in love with Nike Tempos. They are the most perfect shorts in the world. I have seven different colors. The only thing that could make my collection better is if I had denim ones to wear when I wear real clothes. Denim athletic shorts, hot or not? I'm still kinda trying to decide. See for yourself.
Food
Flautita's with a side a guacamole from Mia's Tex Mex Restaurant in Dallas. I was full until I woke up the next day. I'm really going to miss Mexican food when I move to Seattle. The only bad Mexican food I've ever had here has been like Taco Bell and Taco Bueno. Vom.
Music
The new Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zero's album.
Also more thoughts about Seattle- I'm kind of totally really kind of ready to just move. I'm sick and tired of goodbyes and leaving the house with barely any warning for a showing all the waiting around. Also I want to hang out with my sister who I haven't lived at home with since she was in high school. Obviously I'll be so sad when we do the actual leaving but I've never been one to dwell on goodbyes and heartache. Let's get on with the hellos and new adventures and exploring!
