Taylor Hall

Well, I woke up feeling decently sentimental so I was looking through byu pictures. This is what I saw every day when I walked out of my dorm to head up to class.
First week of school

Fall!

Winter

Really Winter

Spring

Taylor Hall you were oh so good to me! You gave me the most adorable RA and sweet hallmates and wonderful friends and a ward with the cutest boys. Even though your vending machines were broken for an entire week (clearly still not over it) your laundry machines always were dandy and you had empty music rooms where I could go play the piano while I was waiting for my laundry and pretend I was in a music video. You provided a lobby where I could get awkwardly picked up for dates and feel like such a freshman. You gave me another roommate for next year! (shout out to Nicole, haaaay) Personal thank you to the Taylor Toilet Reader, you provided some welcome entertainment. Also it was nice to be in the same hallway where Jen was. Lastly, thanks for not having a stupid nickname stereotyping the girls that lived there like some of the other dorms. U da best.

Teen Mom

Okay I haven't really been able to bring myself to blog about the end of freshman year, just in the same way that it took me a week and a half to unpack. It's called denial, and I have it. I was so ready to go home and be with my family but I still can't really get my head around the fact that

a. I won't see those boys that I love so dearly for two years
b. I won't even see all my girlyfrans until August
c. I once again have a curfew and am no longer in 100% control of my life
d. no more dining plus. Really?
e. no more sleepovers with Syd e v e r y single night. Or pillow talk. Or debriefing. Or getting ready together.
f. my family is moving to Seattle in July. Yeah kinda choosing not to deal with that one until July.

Okay I'm depressing myself lets talk about my past week! My parents went to Seattle (to house hunt) and I got to hold down the fort M-Th night. Holy hectic. I've extended babysat before but this week was especially crazy. Very fun though. And I learned a lot.

Like that even though it's SO funny when Kate gets toothpaste stuck right by her eye (HOW?) you can't laugh. But you can take a picture and a quick video then help her.

You get to go to soccer games and practice and team pictures, the park, the library, dance, voice lessons, gymnastics, piano and cub scouts. And the doctors office because someone is sick. So then Walgreens too to pick up the rx.

You get to go to your little sisters preschool open house and see your preschool teacher and feel awkward when you don't recognize her. (It was 14 years ago! Give a girl a break)

And also feel depressed when you realize the number of times you'll walk up the front stairs to your house is limited.

Haha shoot okay anyways. It was a great week and it's nice to bond with the sibs especially since I worry that they forget about me when I'm up at school. It's also so nice to have Mom and Dad back.

Now that I've been relieved as Mother I can have a social life again which is wonderful considering some of my best friends from BYU live here in Texas. Lml.

Packing Up & Moving Out

The last two days have been absolutely insane. Tuesday night I said all my goodbyes and came home to finish packing and cleaning my room.
This is where I was at around 5am.

This is where I was at around 7:30, still not done, and ready to kill myself. Haha and looking very rough.

Finally finished packing and sweet sweet Scott came and helped me move my boxes into Sydney's car and take them to the storage unit. We got lost, and it took an extra hour but hey they gave us a free $9 lock so worth it? Haha then I rushed home to clean the room and then said a few more goodbyes then got picked up by my shuttle...
and sat at the airport and waited there for three hours. Okay like twoish but still. It was a whiiiiile. I got to see The Waltons which was so great!! I LOVE that family.

Here is another really flattering picture of me. Yay for window seats and nobody else in your row.
Byeeeee Utah.

So fun to wake up at my own house in my own bed. With a friend, too. It will be a bit of an adjustment going from living with Sydney to four boys again.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHA.
I helped my mom go through some old pictures and found some real gems. This is me, circa fifth or sixth grade? I don't understand how I had friends.............

Picked up this cute girl from the airport! Not being able to call/see my sister on a daily basis stunk.

Even though we all could have chosen our own row, we all three sat up front. I laugh so hard with my mom and sister. I'm so lucky to have friends for family.

I don't know why this was so funny but at the time it was hilarious. The cherry limeade slush had no cherry flavoring but instead of bringing out a new one they just brought my mom a little cup of only cherry filling.

Today we were getting our carpets cleaned and my mom found a snake. Sick nasty but thankfully the carpet cleaners were still there so they killed it and then informed us that they're pretty sure it was venomous.

Got to watch Matt's cute second grade play... he was the letter "O" and had a little solo which was fun.

All I wanted was one picture where we all look cute. Didn't get it tonight. It's okay, I still have alll summer.

Potbelly's... our fave!

Then skyped with Sydo for a little bit... heaven forbid we go 24 hours without communicating!

Being home is so wonderful. Busy busy busy all day long all summer long though. I'll be sad to see Jen head back up to Provo next week though. Happy weekend!

See Ya 117

I loved my ward this year! I am kind of in denial that I go home so soon. Like in forty eight hours I'll be home asleep in my bed at 808 Green Valley. I'm more than ready to go home, I feel like I've been here in Provo for about fifty years but I haven't really accepted that a. not coming back until the end of August, and b. I won't see most of the boys for at least two years, if ever again. Haha. I'm feeling dramatic, depressing and downright alliterative.

Sydney and I got so lucky with our home teachers. They are some of the cutest, most sincere, genuine boys that I've ever met.

Syd and all her boyfriends.

Can't wait to live with these two next year! Still a little antsy/anxious about who the others will be.

All I do is listen to slowish mellowy music like above^ song. So much studying. Well not today. I needed a break today. But tomorrow I'm getting up at 8, taking Book of Mormon, then going to a Biology review, then taking Bio, then packing my little life up and away. Oh wait actually I forgot that I studied for BOM for almost three hours today. I'm so lucky I get to go to a school where I can take religion classes and be spiritually enlightened and strengthened while studying for a final. Go Cougs, you know?

My summer ward was a dream, with all my friends in it and I loved each and every single person and adored the Bishopric. At the beginning of fall semester I wasn't super invested in making friends in this new ward but once I did, it's been so great. Could I tell you all of their names? Nope. But I can wave and smile at them when I see them! So weird that next fall I'll be getting friendly in church with old boys. I.e. 21+ year olds.

Sunday Funday

Things I'm currently obsessed with:

Playing tennis. Now that it's warmer I've been getting to play a lot! So much to the extent that I got a sick nasty huge blister.

All this rain! Overcast skies are gross but rain is just clean and nice. Besides, lets be honest I love any and all chances to pull out my rain boots and rain jacket.

This campus is so darn pretty!

I can't believe I made it the entire school year without realizing they have these in the creamery. I'm ticked!

Black lights.

This song. I've liked this band for a while but this whole album makes the best studying music ever.

What have I been up to?

Bacon Party. BLT's are good, but after looking at so much raw meat I think I'm going back to vegetarianism for a little bit.

Disco Nite at Classic Skating.

AND DON'T WORRY MOM... lots and lots of studying.

My pretty view out of the lib window. Done with four finals, two to go! :)

Also Sydney shared this video today in sunday school and it's just really great and uplifting.
