JRU: I've arrived

What a week!! I am loving Jerusalem so so so so much y'all.

Where to even begin? I feel like I learning so much.  I am taking Old Testament, Palestine something, Israel something, Arabic, Near Eastern Studies, and field trip class.

We celebrate the Sabbath on Saturday here, and this past week was so great! I sat and looked out at the city and felt God's love for me and just so much peace. There is an incredible feeling that comes from the assurance that you're where you're supposed to be doing what you're supposed to be doing!!

I came in with a few doctrinal questions and I feel like I am already receiving so many answers.
It's been amazing of course to see where the Savior has walked and taught and performed miracles- but I am also LOVING old testament!! It has always been so hard for me to connect with and understand but my teacher is phenomenal and I am learning so much. It'll be an awesome semester.

Southern Hospitality

My mom is a better woman than I am.

You'll notice this gorgeous golden retriever (okay like is that even the type of dog? does the golden just apply to blonder dogs? blatantly and perhaps blissfully demonstrating my canine ignorance) in the picture and if you know my family remotely you are sure to know that we are not dog people- or animal people for that matter. Let me clear with you: this is not our dog.

Melissa (as I call her in my head, in occasional conversations with my sister and roommate, and apparently here on the www when I childishly/repetitively keep referring to her as "my mom" - do I have issues?) and I went to play a no-so-friendly game of tennis (I WILL BEAT YOU ONE DAY MOM!!!).

Wow. Just found this post 11 months later. Long story short this quirky but kind woman came to the courts wanting to run through the routines with her dogs for their upcoming dog shows. Also she asked us to switch courts so they could have the shade. We worked on our respective crafts (I use the term liberally) side by side for an hour or so then when we asked her to snap a picture of us she was generous enough to let us include her dog in the picture, too. The MEMS.

So Behind

Oh hi. The OCD in me can't really handle the fact that I'm so behind. hehe mind over matter. I do miss blogging and I think it's a really easy way for me to document my life. So Jen and I have challenged each other to start blogging again! Not much to report right now. I'm happy and content and just kinda doin' me. I am t h r i l l e d to be heading southbound for Kate's baptism this weekend. Yay.

I've been so productive today to the point of it being amusing to me. I should head home every weekend for the sheer academic motivation alone. Hehe.

fallish winter

If this is "winter" I can handle it. And having Jen back in Provo? Awesome.

snapchat of my october

Sometimes snapchat is an eerily accurate representation of your life- as shown below.

Aside from school, my hobbies lately have been eating, snacking, temple attending, spending time with syd & my argentina-bound brotha, and general schlubbing. It's been really nice. Happy November!

Sports, Missions and Fairly Other Fun Things

Actually this weekend was one of my favorites. Here's why:

Peace // Luv // Friday Night Lights

Twelve consecutive hours with these people soaking up last few hours of summa weatha

The State Fair of Texas is bigger and better but it's cool Utah, you showed us a good time!

Scooter rides with my Michael friend make for a pleasant sunday afternoon

I also painted with nail polish my fingers and toes, finally watched "Catching Fire", got caught up on SIX WEEKS worth of journal writing, ate Chipotle, skyped with some mission pals, wrote a paper (look Mom! Academics!), watched some quality youtube videos, and made my bed. Twice.

Happy Monday!

It's Too Late

I specifically left this blog title super vague. You could say it's something I've been trying to do post mish- be a little more mysterious? I've heard boys like that.

Okay wow I'm not funny at three am (or am I?? validate me) which is actually a segue, bringing it back to the blog title.

It's too late to
a) blog all about my mission
b) blog all about the past six weeks of life
c) be online because its the wee hours of the morning
d) drop a class i'd like to

answer: all of the above.

But I miss blogging. I've realized how incredibly therapeutic it is and how much I like....... talking about myself? Yikes. I went there. So I'm just starting from now on. I guess I can do what I want since its mY bLoG yAlll. Alright, that is all.
